I just came across this diagram of cities in the world that have, are building or planning to construct urban rail systems. It’s pretty neat, but seems to have been designed by someone who’s dumber than a 5th grader. I know, that’s not the point! It’s cool even though Buffalo is not south of Boston!

Hi Jerry — All the inconsistencies and poor map legibility give me a major headache. The worst, Jer, the worst!
It looks short on the map, but the tunnel between the Mexico City stop and that random point on the tracks south of Miami is a really long walk. If you need to get to that point, it’s sometimes easier to switch to the blue at Valencia, and back to the red at Toulouse, and then jump off the train, hobo-style, a few hours before you get to Miami.
